Q: when is the best time to schedule a shoot?

A: Anytime is the best time! But seriously, I shoot twelve months a year with fall and spring being the busiest because, well, Texas. If you are planning to schedule a shoot in the fall, getting on the schedule early is best. As early as August is a good idea. I prefer to shoot in the evening, a couple of hours before sunset. And, although I’m not a morning person, the early morning hours around sunrise are lovely!

Q: I don’t know what to wear! help!

A: You’ve come to the right place because second to photography my greatest love is fashion! My best advice: wear something that reflects who you are. If you always wear black converse or a jean jacket then find a way to incorporate that into your outfit. That said, looking neat and not sloppy is super important. For families, stay away from matching outfits. Coordinate colors, but don’t put everyone in a white or black t-shirt. I love prints and layers. If you need more help, you can text me photos and I’ll let you know what I think.

Q: do you choose the location or do i?

A: I have lots of locations to choose from, so don’t feel pressured to come up with one. That’s my job! However, if you have a spot in mind that you love, tell me about it!

Q: do you choose which photos i get or do i?

A: After our session, I will go through the photos and choose the ones that turned out best. I will lightly edit those images and upload them for you to choose from. Once you have chosen the photos you want, I will finish editing them. I’ll crop, do any light photoshopping that needs to be done, and remove any minor distractions from the photos.

Q: when will i receive my images?

A: You’ll receive your gallery in two to three weeks after your session. I’ll turn them around faster when I can. The images will be uploaded to a password protected gallery online. You’ll be able to download them and use them as you wish.

Q: Can i post my photos to social media?

A: Of course! The only thing I ask is that you don’t alter the photos in any way. This means adding filters ( I know they’re tempting), cropping, converting to black and white, or other edits that would alter the look of the image.
